Ring's Floodlight Cam Pro and Ring Alarm Pro are cheaper than ever

Ring’s Floodlight Cam Pro and Ring Alarm Pro are cheaper than ever

If you want to bolster your home’s security while making it a little smarter in the process, some of the best Ring security devices are on sale at all-new low prices. To start, Ring’s premium Floodlight Cam Pro costs $199.99 instead of $249.99 at Amazon and Best Buy. We consider this the best floodlight camera for people who are investing heavily in the Amazon Alexa ecosystem. It has similar guts to the Ring Pro 2 video doorbell camera, delivering 1080p footage but with exceptionally bright 2,000 lumens of headlights. It also has a loud 110 decibel siren to keep out potential intruders.

We were impressed with the clear video quality, excellent digital zoom capability, and adjustable motion detection features. With that said, keep in mind that this floodlight camera provides a live view of the app out of the box. You’ll have to pay for a Ring subscription plan (starting at $3 per month) to add additional features, like people discovery and recorded video.

Another excellent discount is on Ring’s Alarm Pro eight-piece starter set, which costs $239.99 at Amazon and at Best Buy. Our reviewer Jennifer Pattison Tuohy thinks this is an excellent home security system, because it also offers everything you need to easily set up your smart home, and it integrates well with other products in the Alexa ecosystem.

In addition to the base station (which doubles as an Eero 6 dual-band Wi-Fi router), the kit comes with a motion detector, four door and window contact sensors, a keypad, and a Z-Wave range extender to access sensors that may be far from the base station . However, it does not offer compatibility with Google Home, Apple’s HomeKit, or IFTTT. Read our review.

Eight-piece Ring Alarm Pro starter kit

Ring Alarm Pro is a great security system, offering everything you need to easily set up your smart home plus a built-in Eero Wi-Fi router and local storage of videos from Ring cameras. However, it doesn’t offer 24/7 video recording, and it’s not compatible with Google Home, Apple’s HomeKit, or IFTTT either.

Are you shopping for a reasonably priced pair of wireless earbuds? Skullcandy’s Jib True earbuds offer a lot more functionality for much less than some of the more popular models. They’re our favorite pair of true wireless earbuds under $30, and they offer an IPX4 sweat-resistance rating, up to six hours of battery life, and even the ability to individually use any of Skullcandy’s Jib headphones (that feature is surprisingly hard to come by. this price point).

Of course, given the price, there are drawbacks. The sound quality is good but not great, and they don’t keep track of all the devices you’ve paired them with previously. If you can live with these minor annoyances, you can buy the Gray Buds for just $21.99 instead of $29.99 at Amazon as well as Best Buy Now, which is the best price we’ve seen on earbuds this year. If you prefer another colorway, Amazon, Best Buy, and B&H Photo sell other styles for $26.99 instead. It’s a bargain no matter which color you like the most.
