Jaidah Essence Hall

Lip sync won: 0

This was a solid start for The Good, given the challenges it faced. She did a great job with Rumix, a lot in the mix on my scorecard for a win – but, remarkably, the judges don’t seem to consider her a competition. Then in Snatch, which isn’t particularly challenging for Jaida (Cardi B in season 12 was forgotten), she manages to manage some pretty fun moments as an elusive prince. Fortunately for her, ball is the next challenge. and if she is the matrix/ Her feather-inspired look she wore in Episode 2 is any indication, her self-made costumes could be a huge gag.

As I mentioned in my summary, I had a Raja lead the Snatch game on Trinity the Tuck, and I think it was probably pretty close. Raja’s Tyra Banks in Season 3 has never been my favorite, mostly because it doesn’t feel far from her. Diana Vreeland and Madame, two deeply dissimilar personalities who required major transformations, were in a whole other union. For pure ambition alone, not to mention how fun she is like everyone else, I would have given her the accolades. But I am sure that the time of the Raja is coming; In the meantime, it will continue to slaughter the runway week after week.

The Vivien

Of all, Viv’s journey seems to be the slowest to start. She’s clearly a bit nervous as the only Brit in the room, which may have affected her performance on Snatch. More important step Joanna Lumley could have been from Donald Trump – although she recovered well with a funny situation with Catherine Tate. Regarding the runways, Viv keeps up with the class; She just needs to come up with a challenge. The acting job will be right up her alley.

I really respond to Yvie’s energy in this matter. As the season approached, she, as Queen, worried that she would have the fewest wins in the biggest challenge previously (only once, shared with Scarlet Envy). I still don’t see her having a lot of wins in this race – the competition is pretty high – but I do see her finding ways to make an impact, regardless. Both her hair and her performance in Rumix were great, and she was so funny that she was facing the bogeyman in the second half of Snatch. (Riko Naste’s movie wasn’t that great) Besides, on the runway, she was really flippant; I loved her crayon look for the “I’m Crowning” premiere category. It’s another one that I can see doing really well in challenging the ball.

Trinity has been pretty much in the mix so far, delivering a better-than-expected Rumix verse (but nevertheless she didn’t know her words), stunning with the I’m Crowning runway and scoring top in the Snatch game. Leslie Jordan was great and her Devil was fun, but it was a bit exaggerated, considering how many times the Devil had been encountered before. Most notably, Trinity is seen as a formidable competition, which is why Shea (successfully!) banned her at the end of the premiere. If there’s anything we know about Trinity from her previous experience drag raceShe’s a fighter. I think with the Monet Alliance going, he will be a strategic force this season.

Nice start for Monét, winning a final at Rumix and taking out an unexpectedly hilarious shot at Mike Tyson at Snatch Game. She lost her first lip sync for your legacy, which added to her mixed lip sync record (three wins, four losses, two leagues), but as you’ve noticed, she didn’t have to deal with the burden of banning someone. It’s interesting to think about who it would be, since she’s allied with Trinity: maybe Jinkx? This would make the Snatch game go completely different, to say the least. Fortunately for Jinkx, Shea Couleé is better at lip-sync with Old McDonald Had a Farm!

Jynx Monsoon

I mean come. Jinkx got a huge gift with an early Snatch, and totally ran with it by impersonating Judy Garland. Hers is one of the most challenging wins we’ve ever seen, bolstered by a very strong Natasha Lyonne tradition and “Scarlett O’Hara” runway look, in the words of Daphne Guinness. Her lip sync wasn’t the best, but hey, that was enough to secure her $10,000. I’ll say, even though I’m a huge fan of Jinkx (she and Jaida are my root interests this season), she’s been fine on Rumix. Maybe better than I expected, but you could say it was her first time in this challenging category. On the other hand, her I’m Crowning runway was absolutely stunning. As she said in a confession, “Let’s face it: Success breeds better clouds!”

Shea has a knack for making herself a star drag race season. Season 9 is largely filtered by its story and in all stars 5I took the combo early and ran with him all the way to the crown. You can feel it doing the same in all stars 7 Premiere: She was in the workroom for the first time, she had her biggest moment with Naomi Campbell, she had one of the best runways I’m about to crown and got to lip sync and a chance to block Trinity. In Episode 2, it fizzles out a bit more – I actually thought it was the worst in Snatch when considering both shows – but it returns to the front of the story with Jinkx blocking it.
Narrative isn’t everything, and I think Shea, as the newest hero in this game, might make for an extraordinary winner. But I keep coming back to just how diverse on the topic her previous six victories in the Max Challenge have been; She’s a Jacqueline of all trades when it comes to drag race. And with the strength of the story behind her, I think she can definitely push for the crown this season. Never underestimate the power of chia.
