Big Sky Season 2 Final Summary: There’s a New Sheriff in Town – Rank It Up!

If the last few moments of the sky is bigThe end of Season 2 Season 2 is any indication, Helena Season 3 is going to be a light and good looking time.

The final scene from the season finale Thursday finds Jenny and Cassie knocking tequila at The Boot Heel with Sheriff Beau Arlen, the town rookie who played it supernatural Alum Jensen Ackles. We’ll get to how they all came together in a minute. But for now, just know that he approaches the ladies in a friendly (not gross) way, they give him a nice hard time, and he instantly matches their vibe in a respectful and fun way.

So just know that I’m really looking forward to the recently announced third season. Now, let’s review what happens in “Catch a Few Fish”.

Scarlett… it’s over! | Everyone’s favorite fugitive and her daughter Phoebe are on their way to Canada. But first, Scarlet stops at a bus stop to retrieve something from the locker: it’s the hard drive that contains information about the Syndicate. Meanwhile, Lindor rushes to Helena because he knows Scarlett has called Cassie, and he’s pretty sure the Syndicate is on the trail of the killer blonde. And when he and Cassie went to see the EMT who worked with Wolf Legarski on the day of his death, they found the man dead under a tarp in his backyard. “Is this the work of the guild?” Cassie wonders, and Lindor says it must be. (In case you were wondering: Jerry will remain in Idaho for now, working with local law enforcement on this case.)

Meanwhile, the menacing man who made Phoebe drop her milkshakes finds her and her mother, and chases them down with a gun. But Scarlett jumps on him, lands on his back like a crazy Capuchin monkey, and stabs him a lot. “You will never be safe,” he warns, even with blood oozing from his lips. But she hits him with her knife again, killing him, and then realizes Phoebe had watched the whole thing. “I am afraid!” says the little girl. “I don’t want to do this anymore!” And it turns out that Scarlet takes these words very seriously. the next thing Cassie knows, she comes home to find Phoebe eating cereal on her dining room table. Scarlett called a moment later, from a car elsewhere, and told Cassie she was right: “Phoebe deserves more of this life.” She asked the private investigator to settle Phoebe with some family members in Michigan. “Mother to mother,” she pleads, “please make sure Phoebe ends up in the right hands. My hand is better than mine, anyway.” In turn, Cassie headed to the girl’s backpack containing the hard drive. Although everything on the drive is encrypted, Lindor says he will share it with technology experts at the US Marshals headquarters. And scarlet? She drives away, but the guild can’t be far behind, right?

Hello, BEAU | Ren and Fer visit Jag in the hospital, where the young man asserts that their father left him to die. Next, an enraged Rin maneuvers things until Veer crashes into a car with Travis… who has a gun on him and drives it, on Rin’s orders. Travis brings the older man into the middle of nowhere, where he puts him in front of a big hole and demands that he know what happened to Kate. “It was never yours, do you understand?” Travis says, crying as he drops his gun and hits Veer on the ground. “She was mine!” Veer coughs that Kate isn’t dead, and that’s the only thing stopping Travis from ending his fists completely while Jenny and new Sheriff Beau Arleen steps in.

Let’s take a moment to properly introduce Beau. He meets Cassie first, outside the community center where they may both be procrastinating going inside for a grieving group. He makes some rather sexist, seemingly illogical remarks, but his charm wins her over and she helps him fix his truck. He’s from Texas, and he’s semi-retired from law enforcement but came to help in Tubbs’ absence. Jenny is just as cautious, and so Sheriff Arlene easily charms her – especially when he’s on the ship right away with her plan to arrest Veer before Travis can get his hands on him. (Side note: It’s actually Cassie’s idea, and the kiss on the cheek that Jenny gives as a thank you for the inspiration is the kind of thing that fires up thousands of fans.)

After confirming Travis’s location and plentiful Rin, who explains that her father would do the same if the tables were turned, Cassie and Beau moved to find Travis. On the way, we learn that Beau has followed his ex-wife–who now works with a tech brother who has a farm out of town–and his daughter to Montana, and that he still loves her. But that’s all the personal information we get before the pair stop Travis from killing Veer, then handcuff the cop and put him in custody.

Back in town, Jag enters his father’s hospital room and smothers him with a pillow, then makes a clean vacation with some help from Ren and Donno. Ren is about to get rid of Alicia when the older woman reveals that she tricked Veer into giving her power of attorney over the company, and if Rin wants to keep control, she’ll have to buy it, or they’re going to have to work together. And when Casey leads Travis to hand him over to his handler, who will handle the charges against him, the slight possibility that Veer wasn’t lying about Kate being alive is reason enough for Hoyt to take off his handcuffs and let him lose him. He can find it.

At The Boot Heel that night, as I mentioned earlier, Arlene threw one back with Deuel and Hoyt. He knows Jenny let Travis go, and he doesn’t really care. “Welcome to Montana,” the ladies said. “I’ll drink for it!” He answers.
