These funny movies might warp your mind if you don’t break your funny bone first.

While comedies can become instant classics and box office sensations, there are always outliers that were either too strange or too dark for audiences of their time.

Ironically, while time is often detrimental to comedy due to shifting sensibilities and outdated cultural references, these silly and controversial comedies often find appreciation and a loyal audience in the following years. As such, I’ve compiled a list of 25 exceptional (and bizarre) comedies that have stood the test of time and are worth checking out ASAP!
