Apple’s iOS 16 has a revamped lock screen with new widgets, wallpapers, and more

Apple is preparing for one of the biggest tech events of the year, WWDC 2022 (Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference), when it is set to unveil the upcoming iPhone.

The tech giant will also release its next software update, iOS 16, which is likely to come with many interesting features. According to new leaks, iOS 16 will bring new tools like upgraded locks along with exit updates for first-party apps including Health and Messages.

The report further reveals that the upcoming iOS will also provide notification updates and new iPad multitasking features.

It looks like Apple is considering merging a section to the left of the Home screen – the Today View – with the widget set and turning it into an entire lock screen in its own right.

It has also been reported that iOS 16 will offer an “Always-On” display feature similar to what users see on the Apple Watch. While this feature has been available on an Android smartphone for a while now, it will be interesting to see how Apple integrates this into its devices via iOS 16.
