Gomez’s appearance came just hours after she made her first appearance on Saturday Night Live as a host of the weekend.
She’s joined by 76-year-old Stephen Martin – who has hosted the show frequently in the past – as the inventor of the gag on whoopee pillow and other popular practical pranks. The pair star together in the original Hulu series Only Murders in the Building.
The star also taunted Martin and her co-star Martin Short, 72, in her opening monologue, saying, ‘I was honored to work with Steve Martin and Martin Short, especially after I Googled them to see who they were.’

Then the camera was cut to Gizmo, who explained that in the early 1960s he was a “difficult inventor.”
All I had was a prototype pillow. I knew it was going to be funny for your boss to be sitting around making noises off his ass, but I couldn’t figure out the noise. “I couldn’t break it,” he explained.
At that time, Gizmo met his wife, Mrs. Dina Beans, played by Aidy Bryant, 35.

I saw her from afar. Its energy was magnetic. Her eyes were endless. And every time I sat down—gas,” he said, adding, ‘that night I realized the funniest noise coming out of the ass was a fart.
Gizmo then goes on to share that Dina inspired many of his devices, including the hand bell, drooping eyeglasses, and electric gum, with her infamous bad luck.
I fell in love with Dina, and she was behind every good idea I had. Because you see, it wasn’t just a chronic gas trough. She was also the most unlucky woman I have ever met.
Then he cut the show into a montage of all the unlucky things that happened to us, including her being attacked by venomous snakes hidden in a peanut jar, and her beating. By lightning repeatedly, her eyeballs are dislodged from their sockets.
How did this woman not die between two thunderbolts and a snake attack between her and God? Selena explained that successful Archie pranks continued to appear.
Archie became the world’s most famous inventor of the muzzle. It was all thanks to Dina Bynes.
And as wealthy as Gizmo is, he sweetly states that “Dina was the prize, and the greatest gag she ever had was to marry a man like me.”
