Superstore star Lauren Ash shows off her incredible weight loss as she once again applauds trolls who criticized her for not being a ‘role model’ after slimming down
Superstore star Lauren Ash has responded to online trolls and criticized her for her recent weight loss with a stunning photo she posted on Instagram on Friday.
The 39-year-old actress and comedian showed off her proportioned belly and trimmed legs on a rowdy set while calling out her critics in a lengthy commentary.
She blasted people who were texting her to criticize her for not being a “role model” because she lost weight compared to her days starring in the popular NBC comedy.
Defending her body: Lauren Ash, 39, responded to trolls for criticizing her weight loss in an Instagram post from Friday. She showcased her stunning figure in a crop top after getting significantly slimmed down
In her photo, Lauren was wearing a short white shirt that was rolled down to show off her flat midriff.
She paired them with shiny black shorts, and added some height to her 5-foot-tall stature with a black open-toe heel.
The Canadian-born star wore her shoulder-length blonde locks parted down the center and styled in subtle waves.
In her lengthy comment, she lamented the lack of a “win” when it came to her weight.
‘You know what’s fun? When you live in a bigger body, people post that they’re worried about your health,” Then, when you move to a smaller body, people post that they’re worried about your health. I’m starting to feel like there’s no winning as a woman. (Big shocker given last week in America).
What gives? In her lengthy comment, she lamented that there was simply no “win” when it came to her weight, as she was criticized for being too big and too small.
No secret: The actress also asked her fans not to ask for her “secret,” as she said she only lost weight by removing “stress” from her life. She added that she looks “hot AF in this picture”; Still from Superstore
She singled out users who were sending her to complain that she had been a “longer-term role model” due to her weight loss.
“I guess my question is, why was my body the only thing that gave me value as a role model?” She continued, stating that she has never promoted her weight loss and never will.
I happen to be in a smaller body now than I was a year ago. And, God willing, if I am fortunate enough to walk this earth for a long life, my body will expand, contract and change many times.
Ash also urged her fans who were courtesy of her physical change not to tease her for the weight-burning “secret”.
“And to the countless people asking me ‘secret’, please stop. There is no secret. I have removed stress from my life. That is. It’s amazing what our bodies hold on to when we are in a state of prolonged tension.”
Speak out: She chose users who complained that she was a “longer role model” due to her weight loss. “I guess my question is, why was my body the only thing that gave me value as a role model?” She continued, stating that she hasn’t promoted her weight loss and never will
Lauren concluded her post by emphasizing that she will now celebrate her body as much as she did before her weight loss, even though she feels “more confident” and “happier” now.
Finally, let me just say this: I’ve always posted pictures that celebrate my body. I won’t stop now. I’m more confident and happier than I’ve ever been in my life, and I enjoy commemorating that through fashion posts and all that fun stuff, she wrote. If you don’t like it, and it bothers you, please unfollow and no need to tell me you did.
“Honestly I never expected the stinging criticism I’ve had over the past week just because I lost weight. You have no ownership over my body. And do not outdo anyone in the public eye. And honestly? Would you ever tell a man that he is no longer a role model because he lost weight? exactly. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk. I also look hot in this picture and I don’t feel shy.”
